POWERCASH21 in Germany is using the Tortuga Mobile platform (branded mPOS21) for mPOS Merchant Acquiring in Europe. The system is fully certified by Visa and MasterCard for Chip and PIN, Magnetic Stripe and Manual Entry transactions.
mPOS21 was created to support businesses, sole traders and micro-merchants who visit many different locations to meet their customers.
Traditionally, these merchants have operated on a cash-only basis and do not trade from fixed premises, examples being:

These merchants can now accept credit and debit cards with a mobile phone. The mobile connects to a smart card reader with secure PIN pad. Transactions are routed to the Tortuga Payment Server for authorisation and settlement. The Tortuga Merchant Management Portal allows merchants upload product descriptions with pictures and pricing.
